Founded in 2023 by Thomas Slatter and Felix Sommer at the University of Film and Television in Munich, Germany, Sommer Slatter Film is a student film production company dedicated to storytelling that is built on the trust we have in our authors, directors, and other team members.
With a focus on sophisticated yet entertaining documentaries, Sommer Slatter Film has brought to life projects such as, Papi & Papa, Anthro-Pause, and A Student Film.
Beyond documentaries, Felix Sommer and Thomas Slatter have achieved success with fiction shorts that have captivated audiences at festivals both in Germany and on the international stage. Notably, A Piece of Me (directed by Vivian Bausch), has also found a home on the streaming service Joyn, where it is available to viewers starting in February 2024.
We are members of the German Producers Association.
